What you get is a piece of musical equipment that is both traditional and modern at the same time.

In this Victrola Bluetooth Suitcase Record Player review, we will take a closer look at this product and see its place in the company’s mission of making the vinyl sound accessible to every modern home.

An Excellent Beginner Turntable

Victrola Vintage 3-Speed Bluetooth Portable Suitcase Record Player with...

The Victrola Bluetooth Suitcase Record Player is a fantastic portable entry-level record player that’s perfect for music enthusiasts and first-time collectors. And considering its retro design, also lends itself to being one of the best suitcase record players on the market.

You don’t need extensive knowledge about turntables, as this product is easy to use and operate. It’s also affordable at a price range from less than $50 and up to about $60.

You don’t have to spend much money to acquire it for yourself or purchase as a gift for your kids or loved ones.

It is compact and lightweight, so it is easy to carry and store. Additionally, it doesn’t take lots of space. Its size makes it an excellent choice if you live in a medium or small-sized apartment but don’t have a lot of storage space to spare.

Unfortunately, this is not the kind of electronic device that you bring to large gatherings. Its speakers do not provide enough volume power that’s required in open-space areas.

Therefore, if you like to party around, this is not the machine you bring to liven up the mood.

Despite that, this Victrola VSC-550BT audio product comes with plenty of modern features, ensuring you’ll enjoy the whole experience of listening to vinyl records.

      • Compact and Lightweight: This self-contained audio device weighs around 6 pounds, and its suitcase design makes it easy to carry around. It doesn’t need lots of space, so you can place it on top of a table or the floor. Storing it is also not a problem.
      • Speakers are Built-in: No need to purchase additional components because you can listen to music right away. However, if you don’t want to use the device’s built-in speakers, there are auxiliary jack output connections at the back where you can plug in your external speakers.
      • Bluetooth Connectivity: With this feature, you don’t need cords to connect to other electronic devices. You can listen to music in Bluetooth-enabled audio equipment directly.
      • 3-Speed Turntable: You can play vinyl records at 33, 45, and 78 RPMs. You can listen to old records as well as to any recent albums without much of an effort.
      • Cueing Lever: It automatically raises the tonearm so you can easily place the stylus on the spinning vinyl record without damaging your needle.

Despite the many great features of this product, there are still a few things that might disappoint you. One of them is the built-in speakers.

Due to its compact design, the speakers are quite small, which means that you can only turn up the volume to a certain degree.

Good thing that there are stereo output connectors at the back of the device so you can use external speakers instead of the built-in ones if you want.

If You Don’t Want to Go Portable, Here’s A Great Alternative to Victrola Bluetooth Suitcase Record Player

The biggest drawback of this product is its sound volume. It may not be loud enough to some people. This problem is due to its small-sized speakers.

There are plenty of other turntable models in Victrola that you can try if you want to listen to loud vintage music. One excellent example is Victrola’s 7-in-1 Wooden Record Player:

Aside from its turntable and larger speakers, you can use it to play cassette tapes and CDs. It even has FM radio with an analog dial. It’s like a piece of musical equipment that’s capable of playing anything.

It also has Bluetooth connectivity and a record feature that allows you to convert any vinyl music to MP3 so you can save the file in a USB drive. It’s a cool feature that’s not available in other similar devices.

I have the newer VSC 450 bt model. It is vastly improved and has some bass. I still use an aux speaker with it. It handles the louder bass and the Victrola’s volume handles the treble. I use it for my primary record player now.
